Ryan Trey Drops Debut Project, ‘august.’

Born in D.C. and bred in St. Louis, an 18-year-old Ryan Trey gave up a promising basketball career to chance one of his longtime passions, music. A life-changing and risky change, the move has very much paid off for Ryan, thanks to his impressive debut mixtape, august.

Despite it being his first project, the confidence and raw talent is hard to miss. Ryan slides and glides over the album’s various production. The mixtape is led by “Mutual Butterflies” which dropped back in 2017.

august. sees Ryan rapping about many things that many of us every day humans go through and the emotions that come with it. This includes relationships (the good and bad), daily life struggles, and much more. Since the mixtape’s release, Ryan has also received co-signs from Bryson Tiller and DJ Khaled. With that being said let’s give a warm DopeHouse welcome to Ryan.
