Following a very, very long hiatus, DopeHouse favorite Rasheed Chappell has returned with his first album in six years, First Brick.

A 10-track project produced in its entirety by Chappell’s longtime collaborator Kenny Dope, the likes of CRIMEAPPLE O.C., Lil Fame, Hus Kingpin and DJ Scratch among others. True to his sound, the album is deeply rooted in vintage boom-bap. “It was intentional to create something that could connect to my first LP and my next while still standing on its own,” explains Rasheed. “I treat every song as if the listener has never heard me before.”

Led by the singles “101” and “Shorty Rock (Pt. 1),” the project can be heard in its entirety below.

Chappell also shared a visual for “Street Corner Sh*t,” with O.C.
