Shad – “The Stone Throwers”

blame it on Shake September 26, 2018

With A Short Story About a War dropping next month, Shad is back with the album’s third single.

After sharing “Get It Got It Good” and “Frame of Mind” with Kaytranada, the Toronto emcee keeps it rolling with “The Stone Throwers (Gone in a Blink).”

“The Stone Throwers are a metaphor for the powerless,” Shad explained to Exclaim. “And for the hypocrisy of the more powerful. ‘Vilified by all sides’ for the ugly violence they do with stones, even though the powerful cause much more harm and destruction with their bigger, more sophisticated weapons (of money and influence).”

Check out the DJ TLo-laced cut below and be sure to pick up A Short Story About a War on October 26th.
