Shake’s Songs of the Week v.23

blame it on Shake October 8, 2018

For the last 121 weeks (count em), I’ve been putting together a Weekly Dope playlist that compiles all the music that was released to help fans catch up. On average, each playlist consists of 30-40 songs. So, in an effort to put a little more of a personal touch on things, I’ll also be sharing a list of my personal favorites from the week.

On Volume 23 of my Songs of the Week playlist, I’ve got Dave East and Styles P kicking things off with a banger from their Beloved album. From there, Alchemist tapped Conway and Westside Gunn for some “94 Ghost Sh*t,” Anderson .Paak and Kendrick Lamar reconnected, and Swizz Beatz got Young Thug actually rapping rapping. There’s highlights from projects by Atmosphere, Mozzy, Warm Brew, Lil Baby & Gunna, Ghostface Killah, Phora, AlunaGeorge, Brandon Banks, T.I. and Devin Tracy (peace to the Soulection crew). Marco Polo and Masta Ace rep’d “Breukelen” with Smif-N-Wessun; 6ix9ine snuck in with a “Stoopid” banger with Bobby Shmurda; plus some R&B vibes from Leven Kali, Hunnah, and Nao.
