Today’s a special day. Now only is it Halloween, but it also marks the 46th birthday of one Pharoahe Monch. And to celebrate, the legendary lyricist decided to gift fans with some new music.

With M.O.P’s Lil Fame riding shotgun, Monch delivers some in-your-face rhymes over his own production (with help from DJ OGee and Parks Vallely) on “24 Hours.”

“’24 Hours’ is a standalone song that’s not attached to any upcoming project and is my first independent release,” Monch told Complex. “I produced both the record and the video, wanting to give my fans something hardcore on my birthday, as a show of my appreciation. With Lil Fame holding me down, I feel as if it will boost everyone’s endorphin levels 100 percent.”

Released with a matching video, directed by Mr. Complex, “24 Hours” can be heard below.
