City Girls Keep ‘Girl Code’ On New Album

Straight out of Miami, City Girls saw their music career reach new heights thanks to the success of their debut project, PERIOD. The album featured fan favorites like “Where the Bag At,” “I’ll Take Your Man” & “Period (We Live).” While the future looked bright for the Miami duo, things would soon come to a momentary halt.

In late June, JT turned herself in on fraud charges and would later be sentenced to 2 years in prison. The sentence pretty much came at a bad as she was only to see one month of the project’s success and was unable to see Drake’s “In My Feelings” shine a new light on their name.

While it sounds like only bad news, there would be eventually some good. In October, Yung Miami revealed that JT would actually be released in December, a whole year and a half early. While that was reason to celebrate that wasn’t the end of it. The duo would later announce that their sophomore effort would be titled Girl Code and would be released November 16.

Well, that day has arrived and Girl Code has come with it. Standing at 14 songs, the album is lead by last week’s “T W E R K.” The Miami duo has also recruited help from Cardi BLil Baby & Jacquees.
