Like most people, I’m sure many of you weren’t aware of this wildly interesting tidbit either.

One of the more informative music podcasts out today is by The Roots member Questlove, “A Questlove Supreme.” After recently inviting former forever First Lady Michelle Obama to his show, Questo Gomez sat down with Snoop Dogg and revealed that they’ve been linked together for over 25 years.

As it turns out, Dr. Dre‘s breakout solo song, “Nuthin But A G Thang,” contains a memorable sample from the 1973 track “Are You Looking” by Congress Alley… a group whose members included Questlove’s parents, Arthur Lee Andrew Thompson and Jacqui Andrews. Needless to say, Snoop’s mind was blown. Snoop also revealed the original sample for “Nuthin’ But A G Thang” which was ultimately scrapped, too.

The full episode of “A Questlove Supreme” debuts December 19th on Pandora.
