Gary Clark Jr.‘s last album was 2015’s The Story of Sonny Boy Slim. That’s been way too long, so the talented singer will return in 2019 with his third album This Land.
Due March 1st, Clark has also released a video for the first single-slash-title track. Directed by Savanah Leaf, the video attacks both the racially tense climate of today thanks to an inept and culturally insensitive (and that’s putting it nicely) administration and Gary’s own racially tense upbringing in Austin, TX. The rather intense visual can be seen below.
