The first and only time we featured Ajani Jones at the DopeHouse was in 2017, right when he dropped “Bliss” ahead of his Eternal Bliss album. That’s not to say the Chicago artist wasn’t worth another post. It’s just there is way too much music dropping these days and my feeble mind just can’t keep up as well as I used to.
Anyways, back on track, Mr. Jones returns to our pages with the release of his One Punch project with Minnesota producer BoatHouse.
Recorded with anime like Gundam, Afro Samurai, Naruto, Akira, and (of course) One Punch Man playing in the studio, the five-track effort has a lone feature from Kweku Collins (“Pronto”) and can be heard below.
