Clear Soul Forces Return with First Album in Four Years, ‘Still’

blame it on Shake February 21, 2019

It’s been nearly four years since we’ve gotten a Clear Soul Forces album. But after a bevy of solo projects, the Detroit quartet have reunited for a brand new full-length.

Appropriately titled Still, the album wouldn’t sound as organic and cohesively produced if each member didn’t take time out to grow and improve their respective crafts.

“Everyone’s growth has made the creative process easier,” group member Noveliss says. “Now, we and the world know what’s up, and it’s all about bouncing off each other and being a unit on every song.”

Equipped with 11 songs of the golden era boom bap for the modern age we’ve come to enjoy from CSF, Still is littered with clever bravado, video game references and impressive wordplay; over a sound bed largely provided by emcee/producer Illajide.
