To say YBN Almighty Jay has had a rough few days is an understatement.
Last week, the charismatic rapper was jumped, stabbed multiple times and robbed by several attackers in New York. His mentor, Rap-A-Lot founder J Prince, essentially put a green light on the attackers via Instagram, to which one of the alleged attackers responded in a music video supposedly holding Jay’s chain.
What makes things even crazier, several members the gang allegedly responsible for the attack were arrested on federal attempted murder and firearms charges Wednesday (March 14), completely unrelated to Jay’s attack. At the moment, nobody knows what will happen at this point.
Regardless, Jay has released a new single/video, “Let Me Breathe,” which is the leadoff track for his upcoming solo album Legend. In it, Jay addresses the attack as well as prior controversies, and even reveals the massive face slash he now own (held together by some of the reported three hundred stitches he received in the hospital).
