What’s in the Tapedeck v.4 (01.07.08)

blame it on Shake January 7, 2008

So 2dopeboyz has reached 100k views in under 3 months since me and Meka started this. Not too shabby in my opinion. Thank you for all the love and appreciation! We look forward to moving up. So with that, enjoy the fourth volume of “What’s in the Tapedeck”. This series has tracks from Royce Da 5’9″, Joe Budden, Twista, Wale (yep, go ahead and say it Amanda), Lil Wayne (yep, him too), Bizzy Bone, DMX, Ya Boy and more. Enjoy as per usual.

Big Lou, Papoose & Busta Rhymes – The Last Lyricist
This track is pretty hot, came from DJ Kay Slay (surprisingly there is not shouting, dope). People gotta watch out for Big Lou, dude is a beast.

Cymarshall Law – Control f. KRS-One
I’m not fully sure how I feel about this joint but it features the Teacher, so how can you NOT listen (atleast once).

Nino Bless & Joe Budden – Times R Hard (prod. Focus & Dr. Dre)
The beat is a year or so old, but damn if it isn’t hot! Nino and Joey both do their thing on the track. Great song off Nino’s upcoming Untold Scriptures mixtape.

Sadat X – 90 Days
Fresh off a 3 month stint at Rikers, Sadat drops a new joint about his time served.

Young Chris – Take My Time
Chris has been on his grind as of late! Shit, where’s Neef though? I’ve got a slew of YC tracks if people want em, I’ll make a new post.

Slum Village – Feel’s So Good (prod. Black Milk)
I believe this beat was originally on Milk’s myspace (Big Willy Style, any confirmation?) Regardless I can’t complain for new SV shit. Elzhi is a serious problem.

J.Christ – Rain Man f. Royce Da 5’9″
First time hearing of J.Christ, he got a little Fabolous flow in him but I feel he gotta step it up alongside Royce.

Ya Boy – Freestyle f. Royce Da 5’9″, Roscoe Umali & Faze
I posted the mixtape below, but figured I’d drop the one track some people might ONLY want alone.

Curren$y – I (Your Direction)
Brand new joint from the Young Money artist.

Flintstone – Another Day
This track was submitted to me, it’s not bad. I’ll be on the lookout for more shit.

Lyfe Jennings – Brand New f. Lil Wayne
I’m a huge fan of Lyfe. His debut album is sooo great. I guess he got the memo that EVERY artist needs a Lil Wayne feature to be considered relevant in today’s game.

Wale – Nike Boots (rmx) f. Lil Wayne
More Wayne? Yea. I know the cheerleader is happy haha. Pretty smart record if you ask me.

Twista – No One Freestyle
Twista over Alicia Key’s phenomenal single.

Twista – For One Night f. Luther Vandross
More heat from the Chi-town spitter.

Promise – Dumb it Down
Not Lupe, but still does his thing. Don’t sleep on the kid.

Bizzy Bone – A Song for You f. DMX & Chris Notez
X has two albums dropping in 2008? Yes. One’s a gospel album? Yes. We shall see how that goes. Track is good stuff.
