What’s in the Tapedeck v.7 (02.07.08)

blame it on Shake February 7, 2008

Yep Yep … it’s that time again kiddies. Everyone’s favorite post (numbers don’t lie). This time we have some new shit from Papoose & C-Murder, Usher & Jeezy, a few Ludacris assisted joints, AC, Royce Da 5’9″, a Blu instrumental, Young Chris; and much much more. This one’s pretty big, tons of tracks haha. You know how Shake does it…

Blu – GlassO’Wine
Anything with this man’s name attached is bound to be dope. Here’s a little gem that he dropped on his myspace.

Papoose – Ride Out (rmx) f. C-Murder
New joint produced by Gee. A different version will be leaking soon as well. Be on the look out. If you’re a Papoose Pa…poose fan that is.

Usher – In This Club f. Young Jeezy (prod. Polow Da Don)
Urrsher is on the verge of his comeback, I can see this being a HUGE smash on the radio and in the club. We shall see. Shouts to X for the CDQ.

Block Xchange – Head Noddin’ f. Ludacris
Just to prove a robot who said Luda’s been doing nothing as of late. Here is a dope little feature from the ATL “bow-thrower”.

Sean Garrett – Grippin On My Bed f. Ludacris
See Vex, Luda been doing features still. Sheesh. Sean G is the next Ne-Yo, Dream, etc. Aka “I wrote for a ton of famous artists, now I wanna be a famous artist” Dude has talent though, so I def. see it happening in the near future.

DJ Driggz – I Walk Alone f. Royce Da 5’9″
Not a “new” joint according to Royce but it’s never been released. Not sure what project this is gonna land on but it’s still dope regardless. What do you expect. It’s Nickel Nine dammit!

J. Dilla – Diamonds (prod. by Nottz)
Who says all the Tapedeck posts have to be new? I’ve been bumpin’ the shit out of this joint so why not post it? This was supposed to be on Dilla’s unreleased album, MCA; that would feature Dilla rhyming over his favorite producers beats. Nottz is criminally slept on imo.

Jay-Z – H.O.V.A.
Speaking of unreleased shit, here is a cut that never made Blueprint 2. I realized this wasn’t heard as much as it should have been. So if you haven’t heard it … enjoy. And if you have … enjoy.

Sha Stimuli – Dat Fire f. Suny Redd
Sha is about to drop his upcoming mixtape, Love Jones. If you haven’t been paying attention, he is on board to drop 12 tapes in 12 months. Shake is gonna be handling some of the artwork, yessir! If you wanna catch up, tape 1 (The Wire) dropped last month. Inspired by the best show on TV, period [click to listen/download]. This is a joint he did with Suny Redd (1/3 of Hometown Heroes with Stimuli and Flash Da Biskit.

G. Malone – Certified (Blu Division Remix)
Glasses remixes his hit single with Akon, featuring Conflict, Quiz, The Bloc Boyz, K-Style, Roc Slanga, & Akon.

P.A. – I Was Told f. L.E.G.A.C.Y. & Sense I
Justus League’s L.E.G.A.C.Y. joins T-Dot’s P.A. on this new track. If you haven’t heard of dude, listen/download the HipHopDX Presents: I Miss 1994 mixtape [click here]. It features guest spots from Craig G, Kev Brown, Tragedy Khadafi, etc.

AC – 08 Feelin Great Freestyle
If you don’t know, AC is doing his thing. Here’s the most recent freestyle from the Staten Island emcee.

AC – Writer’s Block Freestyle
See above for an AC explanation haha. Here we have AC posing the question “what if rap had a writer’s strike, which of these so called legends would go hide their mic”. Interesting.

ESSO – Young & Ignorant
Keeping it real NY right about now, few emcees out have the swag that ESSO possesses. ESSObama rips over LB’s Good Clothes instrumental. “I’m back in this female dog homie!”

Danity Kane – Damaged
For the 2dopegirls out there. New single off the Making the Band ladies upcoming album. And for the fellas, did you see the Aubrey model shots?

Young Chris – Dey Know Freestyle
Chris drops a new freestyle over Shawty Lo’s Dey Know. My girl likes the original song by the way, oh nooooooes!

Young Chris – Jackin 4 Beats (Old School)
Chris runs through some classic instrumentals and does what a Young Gunna does, what do they do?

Pete Rock – Questions f. Royal Flush
More heat from Pete Rock’s upcoming album, New York’s Finest, dropping February 26th.
