When I was younger, I was more into MC Hammer than I was MC Ren. So when I heard this crew’s magnum opus on the radio for the first time, I had no nann idea what the hell they were talking about, and I actually found the song to be hilarious… until I saw their infamous album cover, which sprouted a few chest hairs and lowered my voice a few octaves. Needless to say, their impact on hip-hop is just as influential as any other forefather and foremother, and without them placing Florida on the map rap from the Sunshine State probably would not be as huge as it is today. Though some may say that’s a bad thing…
