I’ve heard a crazy story surrounding the remix of Hostile Gospel pt.1 w/ Joell Ortiz & Blu. Now we get a story about pt.2. With this new leak off Chace Infinite’s I Would Have Killed This project.
Anyway,the story on this one is a little different. I didn’t do this particular joint first, if I remember right Khalil actually did this for Kweli. I am a fan of Steele Pulse and when I heard the beat Khalil told me Kweli was going to use it, I immediately began trying to get on the record. More so than any other artist Khalil works with I felt like I would have fit on this particular album and this particular song. Honestly I cant remember why it wasn’t used, but it wasn’t. I remember sending it to Kweli’s engineer but you know how shit goes…1 verse, no hook. The beat ended up being a song called Hostile Gospel pt.2.
Plus the teaser artwork (shown above). I jacked the demo version of the Shining font and kept the “demo version” stamp in the O, cause it actually fit the concept of the project. Killer! – Chace Infinite
