This New York radio shit is a trip. I’ve never seen this much madness in Los Angeles. Then again, Los Angeles basically has only one hip hop station now, so maybe that’s why. Anyways, congrats and much success to Envy.
(New York, NY, December 2, 2009) – Clear Channel Radio New York’s Power 105.1 (WWPR-FM), R&B, Hip Hop and Back in the Day Joints, is pleased to announce that Malikha Mallette will move to co-host on “The Ed Lover Show”, 5:30-9:30am and DJ Envy is Power 105.1’s new afternoon personality, 2-6pm weekdays. The announcement was made today by Cadillac Jack, Power 105.1’s Program Director.
Cadillac Jack stated: “I’m thrilled to have DJ Envy add his energy and expertise to the Power team in afternoons! Moreover, Malikha and Ed have a chemistry reminiscent of any great entertainment team. These 2 moves create the ultimate one-two punch for Power 105.1.”
DJ Envy stated: “I’m excited to start hosting afternoons at Power 105.1. Now I’m with the first person that put me on the radio, Ed Lover, and the person who taught me how to mix, DJ Clue. I’m honored to join a young team of talented jocks. The grind begins…its Movvinn!!!”
