Bun B, Clipse & Duck Down Get Involved With Haiti Relief

Not only do these folks constantly drop off good music for the fans, they are also doing something positive for humanity. Applaud these guys! Houston, TX – In the wake of the disaster that destroyed the city of Port-Au-Prince in Haiti this past Tuesday, UGK founding member Bun B has gathered a stellar line-up of Houston artists for a fund raiser event that has been called “Houston For Haiti.” The show will take place Monday, January 18 (MLK Day) from 4 to 8 PM at Warehouse Live in Houston.

Along with Bun B, Slim Thug, Trae The Truth, ESG, Lil O, Candi Redd, Just Brittany, Corey Mo and The Party Boyz have been confirmed to perform, so far. More artist are expected to join the bill. Local athletes including Vince Young of the Tennesse Titans will also make appearances. “We all need to get involved” says Bun B. “Race, color or creed, we are all Haitians right now, and we need to help our brothers and sisters!”

The event has been organized with supporting partners Red Bull, Houston radio station KBXX The Box, www.care.org, and the Houston Community Center.

Tickets go on sale today at $ 20 and can be purchased through www.warehouselive.com; tickets will be $30 at the venue’s box office on Monday. All proceeds will be donated to Haiti relief funds through www.care.org; Donations drop off sites will also be set up at the venue.


Duck Down Records is also participating in assisting Haiti. On January 16th at Midnight, for a 24 hour period, their entire iTunes catalog sales will be donated to Yele to assist in the relief effort. Starting today, Friday January 15th @ 3pm est, Play Cloths will release a signature Jack logo t-shirt designed for the Haiti Relief Effort. 100% OF THE PROCEEDS WILL BE DONATED to the YELE HAITI EARTHQUAKE FUND (www.yele.org) which is an organization supported by WYCLEF. In order to send the donations as fast as we can, the Haitian Jack t-shirt will only be on sale from Friday, January 15th to Friday, January 22nd (one week only). We will be shipping Friday the following week. We cannot stress enough what a human disaster this is and every little bit we can give helps. We can only hope that our efforts combined with efforts from the rest of the world will help the people of Port-au-Prince immediately as well as create a better Haiti for the future.
