I remember hearing about this back when I was in high school out West… Wow. Before it became what we now recognize as the backdrop for Biggie’s instant vintage “Ten Crack Commandments,” DJ Premier laced Jeru The Damaja with the instrumental for Angie Martinez’ countdown on Hot 97. I’d really like the CDQ in my possession, like, yesterday. Props to the Primo fansite.
