Before heading to NYC for tomorrow night’s Def Jam Cipher Sessions show, TiRon spoke with HipHopFiend about his upcoming Sucker For Pumps project with Ayomari (it’s about damn time).
The whole project is all about women and for girls and for women. But dudes can relate to it as well, because we’re men… It’s actually a very light concept, we just wanted to do an honest project for women; not necessarily where every song is the nicest song, not necessarily where every song is the meanest song, or the song that makes the women dance, but just something that women can listen to, and be like “you know what I respect and appreciate what they’re doing and what they say about us.” It’s just about the relationships between men and women, and how men and women aren’t men and women anymore, like the role reversal and all that craziness.
The 10-track project is looking at a Valentine’s Day release. With TiRon’s No Sleep Til Slawson, Ayomari’s Color and the #goronniesessions coming after.
