So in case you weren’t listening last night, the dopehouse is now an official media partner of Brooklyn Bodega’s upcoming BK Hip-Hop Festival, and to kick off the union we’re throwing a special Show & Prove competition next Thursday (May 19th) in Brooklyn, where the performers are vying for a spot on the Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival going down July 16th.
I’ve been tasked with finding a pair of artists to perform at the showcase next week, and instead of doing it myself I’m letting the visitors of the site do so. I’ve picked three artists who I feel are the current embodiment of the up-and-coming Brooklyn hip-hop culture, and I’ve left a poll below for the fans to vote on who they would want as a performer next week.
