According to GQ Magazine, Shawn Corey Carter has now added Pharrell Williams’ Billionaire Boys Club to his Rocawear stable.
Sources say that Jay-Z and Pharrell, the current face and force behind BBC, will work as a tandem—using Jay-Z’s business prowess and Pharrell’s creativity…. BBC won’t be on the shelves of large department stores simply because it’s under the Roc umbrella. But this is the backing that most streetwear brands don’t have, which is why we see a lot of them closing their doors.
So in other words, it’ll be just as expensive as it’s ever been, but it will have Jay-Z’s stamp on it. Hm… I think I’ll stick to my relatively inexpensive Levi jeans and all-black tees. SHAKE UPDATE: Miss Info breaks down the deal.
