I’m crazy late with this one as far as posting goes, but better late than never. For all you nostalgic, stuck-in-the-90s heads, this is one you won’t wanna miss. If you had fond memories of either tuning in to the Stretch Armstrong & Bobbito show on WKCR, or if you just copped / traded tapes of the recorded shows, you’ll definitely recall this early 90s underground group. Natural Elements, comprised of producer Charlemagne and L-Swift, Mr. Voodoo, Howie Smalls and new addition A-Butta had a string of underground hits back in the day and dropped an EP that is pretty rare to find these days. Chopped Herring Records has scooped up four demo tracks originally targeted for Def Jam and added two more previously unreleased joints to produce a six-track EP. I put in my pre-order the day of the announcement and the records have finally shipped. There are a few copies still left (black vinyl only) so peep the snippets below, and if you dig what you hear, head over to Chopped Herring and put an order in. Peace to Bob.
