Javon “J1” Coleman, drummer to Dam Funk’s Master Blazter recently passed away and to help celebrate the man’s gifted career, Insect Records is releasing their Starship 27, Vol. 2 compilation with appearances by Houseshoes, Eric Lau, Kev Brown and Georgia Anne Muldrow, helmed by J1. Proceeds from sales will go toward J1’s family. After the jump, catch one of J1’s last known performances caught on camera.
