Red Bull Music Academy embarks on NYC later this year from September 30th to November 2nd and applications are open now at RBMA. To offer potential applicants a taste of the RBMA experience, various info sessions with after-parties have been taking place all over the world, and the city of Los Angeles was blessed to have both Ali Shaheed Muhammad of A Tribe Called Quest and Maseo of De La Soul offering their thoughts on their careers, while paying tribute to the late great J. Dilla.
Today, enjoy the lectures moderated by Cognito of Frolab with both Ali Shaheed Muhammad and Maseo and you can also check out audio from their live DJ sets at LA’s monthly hip hop party, BOOMBOX, which was also their yearly J. Dilla Tribute night.
