Welcome Back To The Postseason, Los Angeles Clippers

blame it on Meka April 17, 2012

The last time the Clippers played basketball past April gas was about $2.25 a gallon, Bush was still in office, The Boondocks was a new show on Adult Swim, Vin Baker, Sam Cassell and Cutino Mobley weren’t retired and Jay-Z had just come out of a not-really-retirement. As a long-standing (and long-suffering) fan of LA’s red-headed stepchild, it’s good to see the second-longest active playoff drought finally end against one of the bigger threats of the postseason, the Zombie Sonics Oklahoma City Thunder. The Clips are still a young team (losing Billups to injury was a pretty big blow), but it seems like they’ve finally found a groove and could potentially be one of the more dangerous teams in the playoffs. Good luck, Clips. Is wanting to see a Clippers-Lakers playoff series wishful thinking?
