Not-so-interesting note: my Slap-Boxing With Jesus moniker, Meka Soul, was a play on both my actual name and Pete Rock and CL Smooth’s vintage album. Speaking to Fuse, Pete speaks on the making of their classic single “They Reminisce Over You (T.R.O.Y.)” from the album, which turns 20 years old this Saturday.
