One week ago today, Coffeemusic Hub brought one half of the Black Hippy crew (Ab-Soul & Jay Rock) to Dallas for what turned out to be one of the dopest shows FlyTimesDaily has ever been a part of. Local producer/artist, Brain Gang Blue, who is the leader of a Dallas-based hip hop team as well as a Top Dawg affiliate, opened for Soul & Rock. Backstage we sat down with Blue along with Ab-Soul to talk about their recent collaboration on Control System. Besides “Mixed Emotions”, the two speak about their relationship, changes the production had to go through before making the cut, among several other topics.
