With GATSBY (Oct. 31) and the Presidential Election right around the corner, I wanted to release another song from the album that really discusses the troubles of inner city living. Using my music as a platform to discuss some of the issues that I see unjust in my community, I wanted to include something more conscious on this project. From societies effect on the youth to education, Melrose & Cortlandt is an ode to the blocks I’ve grown up on in The Bronx.
