Truth and Soul Records, home to funk / soul revivalist bands like Lee Fields & The Expressions, El Michels Affair and The Olympians have recently re-released the Ghetto Brothers’ 1971 LP Power Fuerza. The original pressing, which is pretty rare and expensive, was released on Salsa Records. For those who are unfamiliar, they were originally a gang that used to run the streets and barrios of the South Bronx in the 70s, with close association to the Puerto Rican Socialist Party.
