Originally leaked years back unmixed, J Dilla’s Nottz-produced “The Shining pt.1” has finally been completed. Taking on the name “Diamonds” (which I believe many folks thought the song was already called), the newly-mastered single will find it’s way onto Dilla’s long lost vocal album, The Diary, due out later this year.
Before the LP, “Diamonds” will be included on Dilla’s Diamonds & Ice 12-inch EP, alongside alternate mixes of “Ice (The Shining pt.2)” and the Madlib-produced “The D.”
The deluxe version of ‘Dennis Daughter’ is out now.
