While shooting the video for “Blocka” in Jamaica, Pusha T sat down with Mass Appeal and NCB to speak on a variety of topics.
With the rapport of old friends, Pusha speaks with Noah about his life in Virginia and its impact on his music. They discuss the relationship between giving up a piece of yourself and reaching mainstream success, to which he proclaims, “I’m not making any music that has me stepping out of my zone.” Push illustrates the fame of Pharrell Williams and Kanye West as well as articulates his relationship with them and where his presence fits into the fold. He states, “My job is to keep bringing this hot shit to table, and to keep letting them know what’s hot out there.” Knowing where he stands and where he wants to be, Pusha is ready for what’s next.
Part two coming soon. My Name Is My Name, October 8th.
