Last week, Nipsey launched a website which allowed fans to pre-order hard copies of his Crenshaw mixtape which he revealed would be priced at $100 and the first 1,000 CDs would be signed by Nipsey himself. Some folks were down for the cause while others, of course, weren’t exactly having it. Nipsey did however release Crenshaw yesterday free-of-charge through DatPiff and announced that $100,000 was made through sales of the hard copy. Today we’ve learned that Jay-Z purchased a cool 100 copies of the project (presumably at $100 a pop). #NewRules

UPDATE: Nipsey found it necessary to Instagram proof of Mr. Carter’s payment.
