After a trilogy of 2dope cassette releases (check Chapter 3: The Marion Morrison Tape here), Jonwayne is set to drop his debut album, Rap Album One, on October 29th via Stones Throw. And with the help of Scoop DeVille, the LA-based emcee/producer delivers the latest single.
Scoop is my brother from another mother. Having Scoop’s story juxtapose mine is humor to me. He grew up as hip-hop royalty, the son of Kid Frost. The stark difference between his backdrop and mine is what I feel gives the song its character. – Jonwayne
