On his “Control” verse, Kendrick Lamar mentioned the former Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Lakers coach by name with the line: “If Phil Jackson came back, still no coachin’ me/ I’m uncoachable, I’m unsociable…” The mention spawned a response from the Zen Master via his newly created Twitter account (“@KendrickLamar It’s okay to be cocky and sure, but we all need somebody to lean on. Let’s just call it mentoring.”) and that was that. Months later, during a bonus clip with The Seth Davis Show, and Phil shares some insight.
