Arsenio Hall Blasts Kanye West For “Slave” Usage

blame it on Shake December 11, 2013

During one of the many Kanye interviews rants from the past couple weeks, the Chicago star used Arsenio Hall as an example in one of his many left-field explanations (“Oh he like Arsenio Hall and he was turning up to much, and now you fired.”). Speaking at the GRAMMY Nominations Concert in Los Angeles, the late night host responded to Ye, correcting his statement.

Like usual, Kanye’s premise confuses the facts. So therefore, everything else needs to be thrown out… it was not racism, it was not a plot, I just left my show!

Things didn’t end there though as Arsenio also expressed his disapproval of Ye using the word “slave” in his songs.

I hate the word “slave” used in songs. The fuck outta here. Do you know what that word is? Do you know what that word is all about? Nobody can use “slave” in pop culture. If you’re in the music business, you shouldn’t fuck with that word. Too serious an era. Too serious a problem in America. There is no one that’s free to move around this country that should use the word “slave.” Do you know what it meant to slaves?

So, how long until Kanye is a guest on The Arsenio Hall Show?
