Much like Daniel Hastings, Joe Buck is a legend of sorts in his own right. The graphic designer / street artist is responsible for iconic rap album artwork, including De La Soul’s De La Soul Is Dead, the single artwork for their single “Ring Ring Ring (Ha Ha Hey)” and damn near every recent Redefinition Records release.

My personal favorites would have to be Damu the Fudgemunk’s “Brooklyn Flower” (a record created personally for the birth of Slice-of-Spice founder Richard’s daughter), Paul Nice & Biz Markie’s “Turn Tha Party Out” and LL Cool J’s K-Def produced “Year of the Hip-Hop“.

Joe has opened an online gallery, Hollis Park which features high quality Hip-Hop prints available for sale (peep the Biggie one) and recently added an ATCQ x Wu piece in celebration of the two groups’ celebrating 20 years.
