With a goal to release 7+ SP’s (short-play standalone project) this year, Yancy Deron kicks things off with the first installment. Recorded in seven days, mixed in two (by Intricate Sound), The Difference features a little bit of everything. An “audio pot of gumbo” if you will.
“SP” which usually stands for “short-play” has instead been used to abbreviate the term “standalone project”. Each SP will take on its own theme and feeling; its own personification. I don’t feel a need to stay within a certain lane with my music. I feel the need to give you what I feel. I feel the need to express my individuality in hopes that it may inspire listeners to accept the usually unaccepted and just listen.
