Why Didn’t Skeme Sign to TDE?

Sitting down with TheNEHipHop for an in-depth interview, Skeme discusses how he met up with Dom Kennedy, the people’s reaction to his 2dope Ingleworld LP, his opinions on the project’s longevity, and what makes his sound unique from others.

Later, he talks about collaborating with E-40 (“Turn Up Or Burn Up“)and Game (“Astronaut Pussy/Welcome to California“) on the same day. He also explained why he chose not to sign with TDE, stating that although he considers them brothers, he’d rather stand out and do his own thing (read: be independent).

Don’t forget, Skeme will be releasing a two-disc Gangsta Grillz mixtape with DJ Drama titled Play Dirty, Stay Dirty, which he announced earlier this week.
