If you’ve been following Agacee throughout the past 2-3 years, you should be well aware of his Life Of A Scholar LP. Not for it’s actual music, but for the knowledge that it is “coming soon.” Although Ag’s seen his fair share of delays and setbacks, it looks like he’s finally got a concrete date set… March 26th.
As a gift to fans that have have waited, and will have to continue to wait for another two months, the Chicago emcee liberates a 15-track project to help tide you over.
So…I’ve been working on my album Life of A Scholar since 2012. I’ve recorded many songs for the project, and still am now. I came up with numerous releases date but haven’t stuck to any. Hate doing anything cliché, so I’m not pushing it back as some sort of marketing plan. I’ll be honest, I’m not getting the attention I feel I’m deserved. I feel I have a strong catalogue. I just want to be heard!!! I have also realized the part I’ve played in my perception or lack there of. No one knows the man behind the music. They don’t know my angle. I decided to liberate some songs that have either never been released or have flown under the radar. Last week I knew I needed more time to work on Life Of A Scholar so I’ve set a date of March 26 which happens to be my daughter’s birthday who will turn 3!!! Her name is Clarke and her name means SCHOLAR so it fits the theme of my album and this offering I’m delivering today. In closing, I’m Agacee from Chicago – I speak to and for the people. I just wanna be heard and touch the ears of the world with my story and perspective. These songs are lyrical, motivational, controversial, an fun all rolled in one project to get the listeners prepared for Life Of A Scholar.
