As if the news of Nas releasing a double disc for the 20th anniversary of Illmatic (Illmatic XX), performing at Coachella and releasing a documentary on Illmatic wasn’t great enough news, today we get a peak into the first bonus offering of the aforementioned album.

Producer Dave Scratch provides the track’s facelift, with a guitar stab and what appears to be the same horn sample used in “Nastradamus” (The J.B.’s “It’s Not the Express” for all you sample nerds. Correct me if I’m wrong). The track, which was premiered by Rap Genius not too long ago, will live on the second disc of the album, out April 15th.

UPDATE: And I stand corrected. As Dope Boy Cepenwhy reveals, the sample used is the same as in Gang Starr’s “2Deep,” by Eddie Harris and his 1968 “Lovely Today.”
