Noisey Presents: Welcome to Chiraq pt.7

blame it on Meka March 5, 2014

In this installment – titled “How To Make It Out of Chiraq” – Noisey continues its focus on Chicago’s segregation, as well as the harsh realities of the everyday citizens who reside in the city’s infamous South Side. Young Chop also returns to the series, where he speaks on his own success, before introducing fellow “drill sound” producer Paris Bueller (Lil Durk’s “L’s Anthem” and “Dis Ain’t What U Want”).

In episode seven, we continue exploring the Sosa phenomena, the segregation of Chicago, and the societal forces behind the violent lives of the young people on the South Side. Later, we catch up with Young Chop, who explains what he’s done to succeed, and he introduces us to fellow drill producer Paris Bueller, creator of Lil Durk’s “L’s Anthem.”

If you missed any of them, you can check out part six, part 5, part four, part threepart two and part one as well.
