Bambu Presents ‘The Party Worker’ Campaign

blame it on JES7 April 26, 2014

Those of you who know Bambu know that besides being a great emcee/artist, he’s also a human rights activist, philanthropist and just an all around good guy in general. Which is why we’re helping him with this post to get his new campaign, The Party Worker off the ground. In Bam’s words:

party worker

noun \ˈpär-tē\ \ˈwər-kər\

a laborer who concentrates their scope of work toward the advancement of a societal class, an organization or a club who share a common goal; considered an active defender of a people’s rights and an orator for the voiceless.

what’s up to all my fam, it’s bambu here! if you’re reading this message, you’re one step away from being a part of something truly special: a people-powered project that we are offering exclusively through this kickstarter campaign.

more so than my militant, provocatory lyrics and avid bashing of the status quo, i’m known for making quality music and visuals on a shoestring budget. so imagine cutting straight to the chase and contributing to a project that is powered by people like you! my career as an artist has always relied on giving the community what it wants, and oftentimes, what they may not be aware they need. what the community needs is music that will uplift and challenge us, without commercial interference. i know how much a dollar can stretch when circulated through the right channels, and this is the first campaign where change is truly in your hands.

As you can see, this is so much more than an album of new music. For starters, I’m trying my pen at a whole new medium… and piecing a book together! If you know me or my music, you already know how much I love my books.

But the thing I’m most excited about is opening up PARTY WORKER for collaboration with you… my fans, friends and family. Every backer who pledges $1 or more will get direct access to me and the creative process. You can get most of those details on the Kickstarter page, but I’m talking cool stuff like live intimate broadcasts from the studio, where I’ll literally be asking your opinions as we make the music.

I’m putting myself out there on this one, hope you guys join me in solidarity and in love. I’d be honored to have you join me on this journey. And I’d be even more honored if you spread the word. Once again, here’s that link:

If this inspires you and you’d like to donate (any amount), head over to his Kickstarter page and help contribute!
