Twelve years ago, Non Phixion released their debut and seminal LP, The Future Is Now. The album, now heralded as an underground classic, was preceded by another underground favorite, the mixtape The Past, The Present And The Future Is Now.

To celebrate more than a decade, the good folks over at GetOnDown are offering up an epic, premium reissue edition of the album. The highlight of the reissue is the boxset. Peep the details:

– 2 CDs, containing the original album vocal versions and instrumentals
– Three 7-inch singles featuring original 12-inch artwork: “Black Helicopters,” “Drug Music,” and “Rock Stars”
– An 80-page, hard-cover liner notes book featuring dozens of group-sourced photos and archival images, and in-depth interviews with all group members by author Chris Faraone
– Full reproduction of the group’s press-only sampler cassette from 2000 (with early singles, demos, freestyles and promos): “The Past, The Present and the Future Is Now”
– Expanded artwork from Mear One’s original album visuals

And in case you may be new to Non Phixion, or perhaps just unfamiliar with the album, it boasts production from Necro, Large Professor, Pete Rock, DJ Premier, Dave1, JuJu (of The Beatnuts) and T-Ray, with the ill cuts from the one and only DJ Eclipse. Normally, a boxset like this would be raping your pockets, but GetOnDown is offering it for $60. Just the tape alone these days, regardless if it’s not an OG pressing, fetches upwards of $100, so this is a steal!
