Tech N9ne’s Independent Grind Tour strolled through Seattle a couple weeks back and Freddie Gibbs stopped by the KUBE studios to chop it up with DJ Hyphen. During the lengthy sit-down, Gibbs speaks on him growing up and starting his rap career in a tough environment in Indiana, making the move to Los Angeles to pursue music, his hoop skills, and ability to appeal to a wide fan base.
He also spoke on his recent projects with Madlib (Piñata) and DJ Fresh (The Tonite Show).
