With fans anxiously awaiting for Kendrick’s new album (let’s just say it’ll be the last of TDE’s projected six drops – four of which have already come out – this year), he will appear as the focal point of Complex Magazine’s upcoming issue. In the piece he talks briefly about the album (“He says he’ll be ready for a fourth quarter release”), the Grammys (“He (Macklemore) probably didn’t need to Instagram the text. But what’s done is done”), his musical thought process (“I got a greater purpose. God put something in my heart to get across and that’s what I’m going to focus on, using my voice as an instrument and doing what needs to be done”), and more (there’s a brief mention on Jay Rock’s album, the rumored fifth TDE drop this year). You can peep the interview in its entirety here.
