Common’s new album Nobody Smiling hit shelves today and it’s all I’ve been listening to the past week (because, the internet). With features from Jhené Aiko, Vince Staples (“Kingdom“), Big Sean (“Diamonds“) and more commanding attention, it might be easy to overlook some of the lesser known artists contributing to the amazing LP.
Enter Snoh Aalegra . A singer/songwriter from Stockholm that caught my ear with her brief appearance on “Hustle Harder” alongside Dreezy.
After some searching it looks like the talented vocalist has been running with No I.D. as part of his ARTium Recordings roster. Unfortunately there isn’t much musical output available, but between these covers, her debut single “The Fall” (below) and her video for “Burning Bridges,” I think it’s safe to say Ms. Aalegra has a bright future.
