After the news of JAY Z and Beyoncé working on a joint LP together, you’d think the power couple would have kept it lowkey for a bit. Not the case however, as Hov was billed as the headliner for the Global Citizen Festival 2014 tonight in Central Park, and fans were in for a surprise when Jay brought out none other than wifey Queen Bey.
Despite the event being broadcast live, with what we assume had some sort of delay, it was reported that MSNBC censors had a hard time keeping up with the… crowd’s chants.
The sort-of homecoming event saw JAY Z perform a slew of his solo hits, followed by duets with his wife, including “Holy Grail” and “Young Forever.” Watch a few clips below, then head to MSNBC for more footage/coverage.
