Award-winning songwriter/producer Chin Injeti (who’s mainly known around these parts for his roll in The New Royales with DJ Khalil) recently-released his new solo album The Reverb.
Available now on iTunes, the 14-track project features David Banner, The New Royales, Liz Rodrigues (swooon), Erik Alcock, Sophia Denai, Janette King and others.
“I was trying to figure out what kind of record to make. After a very busy year – I don’t even know how many artists I worked with – you kind of lose yourself in the process. You’re giving yourself to everybody and you’re taking them on. I have worked with everyone from Purity Ring to Aloe Blacc… and then I had to make this record and I reliazed I’m not confined to one genre. I have made a Chin record – really eclectic, and full of good positive songs!
Every song is like a photograph to me – a look into where I was and who I was at that particular time. Looking back at these songs that I share with the world I am proud of where I am. I hear the growth, I hear the people who inspired me for those moments in life.”
