R.A. The Rugged Man Introduces 17-Year-Old Cali Spitter A-F-R-O

blame it on Shake September 29, 2014

While sifting through the submissions for his Definition Of A Rap Flow Contest, R.A. the Rugged Man stumbled upon 17-year-old Cali native A-F-R-O. Impressed by his skills (for his 2dope submission), the Legends Never Die rapper flew out to the West Coast to meet the young talent in person.

With the camera rolling, A-F-R-O let loose a freestyle while R.A. rode shotgun, delivering ad-libs. The rhymes are dope, but I’m not convinced it was truly “off-the-top” like R.A. suggests.

Apparently I wasn’t the only one who thought that either, as R.A. and A-F-R-O released a second video in which the Cali kid raps about random objects handed to him. Further pushing the “off-the-top” stance.

Whatever the case may be, the kid has some talent (as heard in his submissions below) and should have a great chance at taking home the grand prize. Submissions for the contest are due by the end of today. If you haven’t entered yet, hurry up! Guest judges Rittz, Talib Kweli, MURS, Vinnie Paz, Locksmith, Twiztid, Jean Grae, Tonedeff and R.A the Rugged Man are waiting.
