New age hippy and longtime friend of the DopeHouse, Mod Sun, has inked a deal with Rostrum Records. The label — which helped catapult Wiz Khalifa and Mac Miller into stardom — will back the MPLS native on his debut full-length, slated for release in early 2015.

The partnership with Rostrum is set up to expand his unique brand of music. “Rostrum thinks the same way I speak on these songs and they know what it’s like to go all out for something you believe in. That’s exactly why this partnership is so divine to me,” says Mod.

“Working with Mod is such an amazing experience,” comments Rostrum President, Benjy Grinberg. “His energy and creativity are unparalleled, and I can’t wait for everyone to hear the music he’s making…it’s incredible. We’re honored to be a part of it.”

For his first release since the partnership, Mod drops off the self-directed video for “1970,” which provides a glimpse into the bohemian and free lifestyle he leads. Press play above and hit iTunes for a download.
